The Winter Woes

Houghton's New Rug

When we first opened Baileys By the Sea, we were opened year round.  It became clear that we needed the quiet months to unwind & perform upkeep that couldn’t be done while accepting guests.  Those who really know me, know that it was because I wanted to be able to work on my golf game!  And,   this has been true for most of the winters here on Cape Cod.   Last year, & particularly this year, this hasn’t been true.  What should I do with my time???  Redecorate, of course.   We are constantly, painting & refreshing the entire Inn.   Last winter the owners quarters got a face lift.  There have been 2 issues in guest rooms that I keep hearing about from our great staff….  the rugs in Houghton & Tokyo.  Well….   although I still love the old ones….  the new rugs are gorgeous!  (I think)  The pictures do not do them justice!  Remy looks great & very at home, on the Tokyo rug!Tokyo's New Rug

  • Looks beautiful! Can not wait to come back in September. Really want to go whale watching.

    • A right whale with her baby was just spotted! The humpbacks should be arriving soon!
